Greetings!
We are looking for “agents of transformation” – young leaders or leaders-in-the-making who have:
- an unquenchable passion for Jesus and for missions
- a heart for the nations and a commitment to reach the least, the last and the lost
- a quest to reach Gen Z and the next generation, opening their eyes to what Jesus wants to do in every Sphere of Society
- a desire to help take YWAM into the future
A key element of this school will be the focus on pioneering and innovation, therefore much teaching and time will be spent working on an LTS Planning Project that will equip you to articulate your vision, identify and develop objectives and goals, and work through timelines, budgets and practical implementation.
The Miracle of the Han River: A Legacy of Local Transformation and Global Missions
The miracle of the Han River cannot be fully understood apart from the faithful labour of the local church and the foreign missionaries who sowed seeds of transformation in Korea.
Between 1885 and 1950, an unbroken stream of more than 2,500 foreign missionaries served in Korea. Over those 65 years, they collectively invested more than 37,500 years of missionary service—an average of 15 years per person. Their deep investment in prayer, healthcare, Bible translation, education, church planting, and business development laid the spiritual and societal foundation for one of the most dramatic national transformations in modern history.
In 1945, after 35 years of Japanese occupation, the Korean people declared they had come “from darkness into light.” That phrase captured more than political liberation—it reflected a deep spiritual reality. The groundwork laid by missionaries and the perseverance of the Korean Church became the roots of a national revival.
Korea carries a dual legacy: one of local transformation and one of global missionary engagement. What God did in Korea, He now desires to do through Korea.
Today, as the nation celebrates 80 years of liberation, we marvel at how a country once marked by war and poverty has become a beacon of hope. Korea is now the third-largest missionary-sending nation in the world, and its diaspora, present in more than 180 countries, is the largest globally.
Now is the time to renew and reawaken this legacy.
If each of Korea’s 75,000 evangelical churches were to send just two missionaries, a new wave of global missions could once again reshape history.
Let us believe that the miracle of the Han River is not just a story of the past—but a prophetic invitation for the future.
It can happen again—this time, across the nations.

"I am absolutely thrilled with the launch of the Mission True LTS! Faby, Giacomo and Edwin do life and ministry saturated with our YWAM vision and values. Between them, they have fruitfully led kingdom initiatives on every continent on earth and have the experiential authority to train up the next generation of YWAM leaders. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to grow in God’s ways of leadership."

"Of all the ministry experiences I’ve had throughout my years in YWAM, being a part of the three-month Leadership Training Schools has been my most favorite from every angle – personally, ministry-wise, and investing in the next generations. We as a mission are in a unique time of learning, expansion, hearing from God, networking and birthing new ministries and locations. It’s when we gather together that we hear God so clearly regarding the future. I can’t encourage you strongly enough to attend this LTS!"

“I don’t know of anything in YWAM that has had a greater impact in helping to keep us “Mission True” and helping equip young leaders than the Leadership Training School. This training at this season of time in YWAM’s growth is absolutely essential if we are going to move forward and help lead God’s global purposes in fulfilling the Great Commission.”

Integrated Live-Learn Event
Mission True LTS is an integrated event, with worship, teaching, intercession, discussion, application, scripture meditation, strategizing, questions and answers all interwoven. Most afternoons will likely be spent in interactive Breakout sessions surrounding practical subjects, or areas of common interest. We also believe that the prayer, discussion and networking that will happen around the dinner table and other informal contexts among those gathered can be as important and God-directed as the content that is shared “up front” in the classroom.
The schedule will be quite full. Our philosophy is, “Let’s maximize the opportunity. Let’s spread the banquet table as full as we can, and let those who are hungry come and eat.” But we will also look for some opportunities to relax and simply enjoy each other’s fellowship together.
It’s important that all participants attend every session and are present from the start to the finish of the event.
Expected Outcomes
We trust that those who come will gain a greater understanding of YWAM’s history, calling and future. We trust you will be refreshed, that you will gain biblical leadership wisdom and equipping, that kingdom networks of relationships will be forged, that strategies for the region (and the world) will be birthed, and that new ministries will be encouraged and launched from this faith-filled environment, as we hear from the Lord together.
But possibly the more important question is: What are YOUR expectations? “According to your faith, so be it unto you” Matthew 9:29.
We will be praying for you as you take time to consider whether the Lord wants you to be part of this LTS. Do let us know if you have any questions or prayer requests.
